Description: Bach's Prelude in G major stands as the opening movement of his first Cello Suite. This iconic piece is one of 6 preludes found within Bach's collection of six suites for unaccompanied cello.

Renowned for its flowing arpeggios and elegant harmonic progressions, the Prelude has become one of the most recognizable works in the classical repertoire. It has been famously interpreted by celebrated cellist Yo-Yo Ma, whose soulful rendition has introduced countless listeners to the profound beauty of Bach's music.

This arrangement may have been transposed from the original key of G major to better suit the performing instruments. Like all of Bach's compositions, this arrangement contains no dynamic markings.
